At the Easton Grange Wedding Venue, particular care was taken to adhere to the client brief which demanded that the soft furnishings had to work with a traditional Suffolk farmhouse. However, we also had to ensure that the venue had a contemporary edge to suit modern day couples. From the very beginning, we decided to use natural fabrics where possible, ie woven cottons and linens, and introduce blocks of bold colour and strong geometric pattern.
All of the curtains were hand made by our soft furnishings specialist, and many of them featured this 3-band idea, using a block of colour for the top 2/3 and bottom 1/3, divided by a striking band of pattern or stripe. We then used these accent colours and patterns for scatter cushions and bolster cushions to continue the theme. See our Portfolio - http://www.icon-interiors.co.uk/portfolio/commercial/easton-grange/ - for full details of each room.
The Bridal Suite Bathroom at this wonderful wedding venue is designed to be a tranquil haven, overlooking the beautiful woodland gardens in a riverside setting. The deep curved bath is positioned to take best advantage of the view, and the spacious shower is designed in a minimalist style, yet softened with bevelled ivory brick tiles. The traditional oak beams add character and give you a glimpse of the building’s age and former use as a bake house.

The Bridal Suite Sitting Room at Easton Grange Wedding Venue embraces its heritage, with exposed brick work walls, an antique range and bread oven. With flooring in natural oak, soft leather sofas from Eden Forest, and bespoke curtains, the space is warm and inviting. Star pieces such as the verdigris finish on the antique chest by JVB Furniture, and the quirky cushions in Emily Bond fabric, add an extra element to this design.
The wall colours are painted with Farrow & Ball shaded white, and the doors and architraves are painted with Farrow & Ball Light Gray. Both colours compliment the traditional oak beams and the exposed brickwork, whilst bringing the space up to date. For bookings – see http://www.eastongrange-weddings.co.uk/
The Bridal Suite bedroom occupies the upper floor of the historic bake house, and we aimed to keep the character of this traditional Suffolk farm house, yet give it a soft, contemporary edge using soft furnishings. The furniture is a combination of opulent, vintage style pieces, yet the bed is dressed with contemporary cushions and bolsters. The exposed brick work and oak beams provide a strong visual contrast against the glossy black furniture provided by Eden Forest - http://www.edenforest.co.uk/
The enormous scrolled headboard is a bespoke piece, and the grecian urn-style lamps and chests are by JVB furniture. The fabrics are by Romo and Voyage Decoration, and the bed linen has a luxurious 600 thread count.

Here is a quick peek behind the scenes of a recent project, and as you can see, it takes a lot of hard work to create something beautiful.
